I’m selling t-shirts that state the message “Stronger Than Hate” for $10 each. This message became prominent after the shooting at the Tree of Life Temple in Pittsburgh. The t-shirts’ logo incorporates a soccer ball. While soccer is my favorite sport, sadly the world of soccer is not immune to racism. This was recently evidenced when Argentina’s national team canceled a World Cup warmup game in Jerusalem when their players received death threats prompted by the BDS, an anti-Israeli movement. The Palestinian soccer president was subsequently banned by FIFA for inciting hatred and violence. In Europe, Mohamed Salah, a Muslim player is bombarded with ethnic slurs when he plays.
